Colorful Collage
Hey!
There aren’t many updates lately, apart from our server crashing quite a few times in the passed few days. We’re sorry for the inconvenience! Since there’s not much to say in today’s blog post, but I’m obliged to write something (otherwise I might get fired :P), i’ll show you an icons collage that someone made with all the Colorful Icons that we just added…look how pretty!

A Cheat Sheet to Getting Cool MySpace Layouts
Ever wonder how your friends got such a cool MySpace page and yours is dull and drab? Why did your friends find a way to have blinking graphics with an awesome background and didn’t tell you how they did it? Are they keeping all of the good info to themselves? Don’t be mad at your friends any longer, for you’ve found yourself a cheat sheet to getting the absolute coolest MySpace layouts.
First things first, if you don’t have a masters degree in IT or computer science, no worries. If you can read this, you can set your page up, with the right tools of course. If you’ve never used the “right click” on your mouse, familiarize yourself with it, as well as the “cut and paste” feature within. Practice a bit on a word document. All you need to do is hold down the left click from bottom to top, right to left (basically the opposite direction from how you type) to “highlight” words or the area that you wish to work with, right click your mouse with the arrow on the highlighted area, and then left click on copy. Now the information you wish to transfer is now “held” and ready to paste. Now when you “right click” your mouse, the word “paste” will appear. Left click on “paste” and your information will reappear. This practice is all that you’ll need to get an awesome MySpace layout with the right source.
Now you’ll need to figure out what you want to do on your page. Do you want a layout that someone created for you, or do you want to make your own by piecing together the details yourself? In any case, all you need now is a MySpace editor to generate the correct codes for you to copy and paste into the “about me” section of your MySpace page. It might even be in your best interest to go to your profile home page to familiarize yourself a bit before you go out in search of your ideal layout, just to save yourself some time and aggravation when the time comes to set up your super-cool page. It’s the exact same area that you type in “Hi! I’m Sue!” and whatnot. Simply copy and paste the generated codes there.
As for the details, it’s all a “follow the dots’ sort of mentality. I do recommend a complete layout for those who are not-so computer savvy to start. As you gain more knowledge of the workings of MySpace editors, you can create your own custom page, maybe with some intense graphics from a trustworthy MySpace graphics site.
Layouts - Icons Category
Hey everyone!
We just created an Icons category in our Layouts section, since before these layouts were placed in all random categories. It’s about time to make it easier for all of you to find the layout you want! So if you want icons as your background, go to the icons category!

What do you like best?
Here is a poll for you to do so we can know what things we’re good at and which ones we have to improve. These options are the main features of MWS, obviously as most of you know we have LOADS of stuff in this site! Vote Vote Vote!
Noticed something different?
Hey!
Maybe some of you noticed that we changed our banner in the MWS homepage! We made a few more and it’s gonna rotate once in a while. They’re actually very cute! Do you like the banners? You can make similar ones with our Banner Generator!

MySpace - A Way of Life
Just in case you’ve missed the World Wide Web boat, MySpace.com is the latest craze among the Internet generation, enabling them to keep in contact with both new and old friends, high school and college classmates, as well as friends of friends, their favorite band, and the friends of their favorite band. This entire connection can be done without stepping foot outside of a front door or picking up a telephone. It’s become an addiction- a way of life for so many that it’s a wonder how previous generations ever got along without it.
When an interested party signs up for a free MySpace account, they basically are entitled to create their own, personalized page on the site (called a profile), view the profiles of other members and “add” them to their “friends list”. Once someone has accepted you as a friend, you can post a “comment” on the appropriate spot on his or her profile page. “Bulletins” may be posted by one member and will be seen by all friends. Pictures and videos can be added to any profile for all friends to see, all to make a profile unique and a reflection of oneself.
But there’s hardly a web surfer in cyberspace that isn’t at least mildly concerned with Internet safety, especially when it comes to kids. The creators of MySpace couldn’t agree more and have established rules and regulations for all members to follow. Any picture or graphic deemed unfit by the MySpace team will be deleted, and the profile of the poster may be expelled. There are also minimum age requirements and advanced security settings for anyone to adjust. For example, you can have your profile set so that only those on your friends list can view it, and any potential friend needs to know either your last name or email address for the request to be sent.
Blogging, which is short for web logging, is an online journal for a “blogger” to write whatever they’d like to see (and have others see) on the World Wide Web. MySpace has seen the rise of blogging and added it to the website for members to use if they wish. All posts on blogs are visible to anyone who can view a profile.
Of course, the craze doesn’t stop with having the most friends or pictures. Having a MySpace profile page that’s a mirror of the owner’s personality is just as important, if not more so. Interesting and colorful backgrounds and sparkling graphics are available that would raise the eyebrows of Bill Gates. The favorites of movies, music, celebrities and snack foods are plastered all over the MySpace profile pages of fans across the globe. And don’t forget; changing your page more often than you change your socks is quite the growing trend, as “keeping up with the Joneses” requires the latest in technologies.
